Privacy policy
The short version. TakeNoteDeals is a shop window, not a shop. There are no accounts, no cookies and no profiles — nothing about you is stored, and nothing is sold. When you click an offer you leave for the brand's own site, and their privacy policy takes over from there.
1. Who we are
TakeNoteDeals is an independent directory of deals, gift cards, cashback and reward offers. We write short summaries of promotions that live on other companies' websites and link you to them. We don't run those promotions, sell those products, or handle any payment.
2. What we don't collect
No account, no email address, no name, no postal address, no phone number, no payment details, no date of birth, and no profile of what you like. You can read every page here without telling us who you are.
3. What happens while you browse
- Nothing is saved on your device. No cookies, no local storage, no tracking pixels, no browser fingerprinting. The search box, the category filter and the sort order live in memory only, and they disappear when you close the tab.
- Our host keeps ordinary server logs — IP address, page requested, browser string, timestamp — for security and to stop abuse. They follow the host's own retention schedule and aren't used to build a profile of you.
- Fonts come from Google Fonts. That request goes to Google's servers, which means Google sees your IP address and browser string. Block third-party fonts if you'd rather not, and the site still reads perfectly in your system font.
- No analytics, no advertising tags, no session recording. This build ships without them.
4. What happens when you click an offer
Offer buttons take you to the brand's own website. From that moment the brand — and, where one is involved, the affiliate network between us and the brand — can see the visit, and they handle your data under their own privacy policy. We never receive your name, email, address or card details.
What we can receive is a summary: that a link was clicked, and whether a purchase or sign-up followed. It arrives aggregated, and it isn't tied to an identity we could look up.
5. Your rights
Because we don't hold accounts or build profiles, there is usually nothing to look up, correct or delete. If you believe we hold something about you, you can ask to see it, have it corrected, or have it erased, and you can object to our processing it. Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
6. Children
TakeNoteDeals is written for adults and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16 — and, as above, we don't collect much from anyone.
7. Other websites
Every offer leads somewhere else. We choose those destinations carefully, but we don't control what they do with your data, and this policy stops applying the moment you leave. Their policy is the one that counts from there.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, this page changes with it. Anything material gets a plain-English note rather than a quiet edit.
